What is a Sports Physical?

A sports physical, also known as a pre-participation physical examination (PPE), is an essential part of registering young athletes for sports activities. These evaluations are generally required by organizers to ensure children are healthy and physically ready to participate. The primary purpose of a PPE is to verify that the athlete is in good health and fit for their chosen sport, whether it be baseball, football, martial arts, soccer or track. This examination helps minimize the risk of injury by identifying any potential health concerns that could affect the child's ability to play safely.
