Halloween Events in OKC
Posted in
Are you ready to celebrate Halloween throughout the entire month of October? Thankfully, there are plenty of spooktacular events happening all month long. From haunted houses to pumpkin patches and all the candy you can imagine (in moderation, of course), there is scary fun to be had in the OKC area.
Lost Lakes Haunted Forest
Begin the holiday season by walking slightly less than a mile through the terrifying Lost Lakes Haunted Forest at the Lost Lakes Amphitheater and Water Park. Amplify your terror by paying extra to allow the ghouls and monsters to reach out and touch you. This forest of nightmares is open September 28 through October 31 from 7 – 11 p.m.
Fright Fest at Frontier City
If you’re in the mood for a scare, head over to Frontier City for Fright Fest any Friday, Saturday or Sunday from September 29 through October 28. Kiddos can satisfy their sweet tooth at the Kiddie Land Candy Crawl from 4 – 6 p.m. before witnessing mutants, zombies and monsters take over the park during the Festival of Fright Parade.
The most daring park visitors can visit one of the seven haunted houses throughout the park or settle in for one of the spooktacular shows taking place every weekend. All you need to enjoy Fright Fest is a park ticket, but some of the haunted house attractions may cost a little extra. To save some cash, bring two non-perishable food items to donate to the Fright Fest Food Drive and receive $13 off admission.
Haunt the River
Every Saturday in October, kids can dawn their favorite costume and enjoy a haunted ride along the Oklahoma River. Once on the boat, get excited for candy, activity books, games and a costume contest! Tickets for the Haunt the River cruise can be purchased on the boat (which departs from the Regatta Park & Exchange Landings) or at the Regatta Park ticket booth.
Terror on 10th Street Haunted House
Visit the annual Terror on 10th Street Haunted House to face your fears and live your nightmares. Enjoy a guided tour of the house and learn about its haunted history through active participation in the theatrical performance. The haunted house is open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in October from 7 – 11 p.m. Tickets can be purchased for $10 per person.
Pumpkinville
If you love pumpkins and fall, head over to the Myriad Botanical Gardens for their seventh annual Pumpkinville Friday, October 5 through Sunday, October 21. See the Children’s Garden transform as thousands of pumpkins and hundreds of gourds take over the gardens, providing hours of fun for visitors young and old.
A variety of special events will be held during Pumpkinville including a sensory night on October 5, a Harry Potter themed morning on October 13 and photography classes every Sunday. Available activities include pumpkin painting, carousel rides, the Pumpkinville Express Train, vendors and more. Admission to Pumpkinville is free for Myriad Garden Members and $8 for the public.

There’s plenty of fun for the entire family as you explore the zoo and follow the spooky trick-or-treat trail. A general admission zoo ticket is required for entry to Haunt the Zoo, and you can purchase trick-or-treat bags for an extra cost.
