Patients are referred from across the country to the Nazih Zuhdi Transplant Institute for liver transplants.
Liver transplant candidates undergo tests to assess the patient's transplant needs. The tests include blood tests, imaging, cardiac evaluation, and psycho/social evaluation. Additional testing may be needed.

We accept high-risk adult candidates for transplant, including several patients who were turned down elsewhere due to the complexity of their disease. The program is Medicare-certified.
